Hi, I'm Thea .. welcome to this space!
For almost 25years, I've been helping people move, feel & function well.
I’ve always been fascinated by the human body — how it moves, adapts, responds and, perhaps most importantly, how everything is connected.
I’m a Soft Tissue Therapist with more than almost 25years working across remedial massage, myotherapy, sports therapy, & high-performance sport.
My career has taken me into some pretty incredible environments, including working with the Australian Olympic and Paralympic teams, and with athletes across swimming, triathlon, athletics, sprint kayaking, skateboarding and other high-performance sports.
While I’ve loved working at the highest levels of sport, what I’m most passionate about has always been people.
I’m passionate about helping people understand their bodies rather than simply handing them a treatment. I love the detective work — observing how someone moves, listening to their story, putting the pieces together and finding practical ways to help them feel and function better.
Over the years, my approach has evolved beyond simply treating a sore muscle or chasing a particular “problem area”.
I’m interested in the bigger picture.
How we move & perform is influenced by how we live, how we train, how we recover, how we sleep, what we experience and sometimes simply how much "life stuff" we have going on.
How can we create a body, mind and lifestyle that allows us to keep doing the things we love?
I’m also a big believer in keeping things simple.
You don’t always need more. You need to understand what matters, why it matters, and what is most useful for you.
These days, my work brings together everything I’ve learned through clinical practice, high-performance sport, education and my own life experience. I work with active people who want to feel capable, energised and confident in their bodies — whether they’re training for something big, navigating the demands of work and family, or simply wanting to keep doing what they love as they get older.
I’m equally passionate about sharing what I’ve learned with other therapists. I love teaching, mentoring and helping practitioners develop the clinical reasoning, hands-on skills and confidence to become better therapists — without making things unnecessarily complicated.
And perhaps the biggest thing I’ve learned along the way?
High performance isn’t just about what you can achieve. It’s about figuring out how to feel great and function well in every moment.
For me, true performance is having the energy to work, play, move, explore, travel, train, connect with people and enjoy life — not just today, but for many years to come.
If you’re eager to feel fantastic and function at your best, or if you're interested in learning from me, I would love to connect!
